MAYOR JACK LOUWS SAYS:
"Please vote for Scott Korthuis as our next Mayor. Scott is my choice to lead Lynden as Mayor because of his proven ability to work as a respected team leader in the many community and business activities he has been involved in. His demeanor is well suited to work with our community members, city council & city staff, and with the many people he will be involved with in greater Whatcom County serving as our Mayor. I feel he has the skill set needed to work through difficult situations when they arise, with patience, compassion and integrity."

TO THE EDITOR, LyndenTribune:
I have had the privilege of serving on several different committees, organizations and councils with Scott Korthuis over the last several years. I have always witnessed him to take his job seriously. He was always fair, even when he was a competitor of ours for a while. I have found Scott to be very diligent and prompt for any task at hand. Scott shows good judgment and discernment. He gives excellent presentations and is always well prepared. Scott has also displayed concern for someone else’s position, even when it has differed from his own. In my opinion, Scott Korthuis would make an excellent mayor for the city of Lynden.
